WHY MIXTURE OF RODENTS ?
The subfamily Cricetinae (common name: hamster), contains about 18 species, classified in six or seven genera. Almost all have expandable cheek pouches to carry food and are nocturnal. The common hamster measures about 35cm 11/12 against the Russian hamster. Feed mainly on seeds, they are fond of almonds, walnuts and hazelnuts, and should always have water available. The power supply is required to ensure a long life to your hamster; poor diet is the leading cause of premature death of the hamster. For the welfare of the hamster you need to make sure that it has always provided a good amount of food, it is to indulge his tendency to accumulate, it is to prevent it from running out; the hamster has indeed a very accelerated metabolism, if deprived of food may die in a short time. The Hamster is a territorial animal, mostly does not like the company of his fellows, although there are exceptions. Very active at night and sleeps during the day, like a very padded den where accumulates so much food and where pellets for hours.
